About Ringerike Beast
The image is developed to be authentic and true to the viking age regarding stitches style and materials. The image is designed by Nordurljos Art in the Ringerike style- The second to last of the Vikings image styles!
The stitches are stem stitches, solit stitch, couched lines and satin stitch – just like a silk embroidery found in the Oseberg grave.
What can you embroider on?
The image is specially designed to be embroidered on a Hedeby bag. The were made of different types of materiale, but mine is made of a thick wool.
